Thank you
WOW
100% pilot error, just terrible. Shutting off both engines! Unbelievable! Forgetting to make sure the landing gear was down and locked!
Pilot arrogance and apathy caused this, but shouldn’t there be a failsafe against cutting out the power while the plane is airborne?
the cause was not the engine out that was the cause of the emergency, not the crash. The crash was caused by not troubleshooting and taking time once one engine was up and running. Dual engine out is not a memory item. it's just not. but it should be a checklist that is easy to get to in case of an emergency. Once they had one engine up there was no reason why they could not turn on Autopilot and go over the checklist and troubleshooting. Not going over checklist one they had a good engine that was the cause of the crash, not the dual engine failure that was the cause of the emergency but not the crash.
Panicked forgot to turn the ignition on, if he had the restart attempt would have worked
Why the hell would you try to go around when it bounces on the runway, you don’t have engines obviously that’s not gonna work
Don't try that at home! Maybe they pulled the throttle into "Maximum Stupidity" position, and then left it there.
Natural selection
FAFO one way or another your going to land
Pathetic… find out who this guys Instructor or Training Company is/was and prosecute…the issue is “who trained this guy to such a low standard? “🤔
darwin hands out rewards from time to time. You only need one and can only get one as your life time achievement. Good job alex lol
I don't know much about planes, but a better throttle lock that requires a second step seems to be a easy fix for such a problem.
I don't like flying with anyone that's not trained by the military. The military guys are trained what to do in emergencies to where it becomes muscle memory. They don't even need to think about it, they just do it.
WOW! They should have let him belly it in on the fist pass because he had no power. How are you supposed to get the gear down with no power?
There aren’t many scenarios that I can think of where an individual or a company should own and operate their own aircraft under pure Part 91. Best bet is to buy a share at NetJets or one of the other fractionals. They take care of hangering, inspections, maintenance, documentation, flight crewing, training, dispatching, etc. Plus you can upgrade or downgrade your airplane depending on what your needs are for that particular flight. And you can use more than one airplane at the same time when different executives for an organization have different itineraries at the same time. Also, because they have aviation assets scattered around, most only require a four hour notice to pick you up to fly you from and to any airport combination in the world. I have yet to hear someone objectively tell me why Part 91 is better than 91K. An executive’s best bet would be to leave the flying to the professionals and turn the passenger cabin into their office for maximum productivity which you can do when flying fractional.
When rich and arrogant combine with stupid, the result is rarely a good one.
Surely there must be some other way to make a suitably click-baity title without actually blaming the passenger who was *NOT* the cause of this accident. Their only mistake was not telling their "friend" the PIC to F off..
Can they not ask the 2 other passengers what happened?
I think the pilot should have just done a no gear landing the first time, it sounds like he let the tower influence his thought process to go around when he wasn't capable of it.
The lowest common denominator in the cause of this accident touches on one of the key details that check captains want to see in airline pilots whose competencies they are assessing: strict adherence to standard operating procedures.
😢😂😅😢 . ,, , zero. X zero , , , x. , ,, ,. ,,, ,, ,, ,. ,, x😂🎉🎉😂😂🎉😅❤😂🎉
Yup...alex was a cowboy...WAS a cowboy..
It's really nice, but I am a high wing fan.
The planes are too complicated. The pilot was incompetent. Aviate, navigate, communicate. Even I know that because I'm a RUclips expert! 🤣
Another example of thinning the herd. Darwin Award nominees.
12:40 I've made that mistake in MSFS
If PTFS says it’s possible then it is possible.
This is a joke btw
Why are CVR's not required to be on an uninterruptible power supply?
He was stupid, now he is cold.
Did the PIC own a sports car? Were they a bit of a speed demon? Going flat out in a car might result in several thousand dollars of engine and suspension repairs. Over speeding an aircraft could result in termination of flight which may or may not be survivable. The airframe and power plant repairs could be a huge bill. Routinely exceeding the published limits such as max gross weight and Vne does not promote confidence in the pilot's willingness to fly safely.
small business owners, folks
Very inaccurate
I understand he has no power but how in the fuck are you going to go around you're going to crash on somebody's house you might as well with no gear that sounded stupid as hell
The air is no place for arrogance.
Well done, an excellent narrative of this stupid and irresponsible disaster.
Aircraft reports no engine power, barely any control. Tower sees no gear and directs a Go Around. This to me is crazy.
1000% PIC fault, not passenger
How could he go around with no power. Belly it in.
Ive met some really really smart ppl that you could explain things to them and beg them to ask if they don't understand so you can explain it again? I've learned that having someone explain what they understood is the best way to weed out issues. Some ppl will lie until they are blue in the face so that they don't look stupid but refuse to be honest when they truly need help, which is why having someone explain what you are requesting of them has been so crucial in my life and not costing me or my clients tens of thousands of dollars in irreversible or irreparable damages.
Why would ATC tell them to go around if they already declared an emergency with both engines out, no hydraulics & very minimal control. It was their only chance off survival yes it would have damaged the aircraft but they would most likely be alive & chewed out & embarrassed.
How's the adige go, theres old pilots and theres careless pilots but there's not old careless pilots
Isn't flying a jet really difficult?
A pilot that's knowledgeable enough about an aircraft and its systems to appear comfortable yet not knowledgeable enough to fix an engine out / restart at low speed. That's scary right there. Even worse that same pilot trying to teach someone else....
Died of affluenza, or more specifically of cranial-rectal inversion.
.... the CVR should be moved to essential.... and the engine cut should have a windows standard are you sure you want to shut down both engines?
An utterly bizarre sequence of events.
This is the dumbest way ever to die. The PIC had no business flying. The guy learning to fly and over reving the engines should have seen the PIC was not reacting to the multiple over speed warnings and realized nobody's home in the left seat.
Great video to share. The biggest problem with this video is that it has an amateur editor. There should be no loud disturbing music in the background. I’m struggling to focus on the dialogue while you have this movie playing in the background. I have my own television set to distract me that I can use if I choose to. smh
BUT WHY is there NO safety lock to stop engine shut off IN flight (unless a fire lever is activated)? ,2. WHY, are there no audio synthesizers to warn of 1) or "Activate ignition switch"!!!?? (Thats been since 80s technology!)
